Open Fiber / promoter

Annual meeting

Open Fiber was created to build a state-of-the-art fibre optic infrastructure in all Italian regions .

The Open Fibre plan wants to guarantee coverage of cities, small towns and industrial areas thanks to a FTTH (Fibre To The Home) network speed of up to 10 Gbps, able to provide increasingly advanced services and functions for citizens, businesses and public administration.

Open Fiber does not sell fibre-optic services to the end customer directly. It is only active in the wholesale market offering access to all interested market players. With over 14 million FTTH fibre-optic real estate units in more than 5000 Italian towns, Open Fiber has the largest FTTH network in Italy and one of the largest in Europe.
